whats wrong with mah DGV??? hahah
DCOE would have been nice, but I got mine so cheap that it's not even funny!
I heard josh's car coming two blocks away, note too he has a stock exhaust - it was all induction noise!! haha it was fantastic!!
you must tell us more about this mk1 with the 44IDF, that's massive! what else did you do to it?

Head was ported, portmatched manifold
G Grind cam
11/1 Compression
fully balanced (fully, bru
)
Lightened flywheel
4/1 extractors with 2.5" exhaust, oettinger backbox. (LOUD)
I made my own adjustable cam gear for it too..
I didn't build the engine, i guy in town that i bought the car off did. It had a 40 on it when i got it and it wasn't tuned right, so i put a 44 that my uncle had on it and re-tuned it. Then it went like a show of ish.
Check out
If you want to have a look at it. That's the website i used to post on before i knew about vw watercooled.

bumpity bump with an update!
Dad's is going away for work for 2 weeks, so I get to put my car in the garage tomorrow, which is when I'll start stripping it and getting it ready to paint, which hopefully I'll start by about the 7th or 8th.
Happy snaps to come of course!

Want a tip for stripping the paint? Go buy a couple of rolls of home brand glad wrap. Brush the stripper on nice and thick, then then unroll the wrap straight over the top. Leave it for 24 hours. Next day pull the glad wrap off and the pain will pretty much fall off. Some of it will come off with the glad wrap. Just use a scraper to remove the rest of the stuff that didn't come off with the wrap. Easy as that. Just don't forget to mask up any joins, otherwise the stripper will get in there and the paint will start bubbling off when you re-spray it..Originally posted by Jarred View Postbumpity bump with an update!

By the way, here's a pic of the bad girl when it had a 44IDF on it.
The 1776 loved it.
